May 9-10, Atlanta: Get Your Tech On, Courtesy of GAOUG!

If you are ready to find out more about Oracle 12cR2 – or if you’re even just worried about the future of Oracle DBA-dom – please mark May 9-10 on your calendar and plan to join me and an illustrious group of Oracle ACEs in Atlanta when the Georgia Oracle Users Group convenes their 2017 Tech Day conference.

My first presentation is DBA 3.0: Transform Yourself into a Cloud DBA, or Face a Stormy Future, will offer up my viewpoints on how five key trends in the IT industry – Cloud, Big Data, IoT, Security, and Reshoring – are having an impact on the role of the Oracle DBA within their IT organizations, and how it’s crucial to transform yourself into a Cloud DBA in 2017.

My second presentation, Stop Guessing, Start Analyzing: New Analytic View Features in Oracle Database 12cR2, will take a look at the unique features of Analytic Views in 12cR2 that can save an Oracle DBA and application developers from writing inordinately complex code to solve multi-dimensional analytic queries.

If you attended this event last year, you already know how much talent was on stage and the level of technical detail that was presented. Please tell your colleagues all about this event – it’s one of the best in the Southeastern US, and supported by an extremely robust Oracle User Group. So if you are planning to be in the Atlanta area during the 2nd week of May 2017, don’t miss this event!
