9/13: Mark Your Calendars for IOUG Master Class on Oracle 12cR2

Exciting news! The fine folks at IOUG have just opened registration for its first-ever Oracle Database 12cR2 master class! I’ll be joining my fellow ACE Directors Rich Niemiec and Charles Kim from Viscosity NA for our very first event in Herndon, VA – just outside Reston, VA and close to Washington, DC and Baltimore, MD – on Wednesday, September 13, 2018.

Viscosity NA and ViON Corporation are the prime sponsors for this all-day event, which will feature two different learning tracks for Oracle 12cR2: a hands-on lab on 12cR2 multitenant features hosted by Charles and myself, and a second track devoted to discussing and demonstrating the latest features of Database In-Memory, hosted by our special guest speaker, Oracle’s Andy Rivenes, the Product Manager for all things Database In-Memory.

Rich Niemiec will be our keynote and lead-off speaker, so be sure to get there early to hear Rich’s unique perspectives on the future direction of IT, as well as his insights on several other aspects of Oracle Database 12cR2.

We’re also coordinating a schedule of future IOUG Master Class events in the upcoming months that will feature the same core team of ACE Directors (Rich, Charles and myself) but with a rotating group of speakers from Oracle and other ACE Directors based on geography and availability.

Registration is now open, so if you are in the Washington DC – Baltimore, MD – Reston, VA area, be sure to sign up for this free event.  It’s a rare chance to get some hands-on, in-depth about Oracle 12cR2’s complex yet elegant features so that you can help make the case to transition to 12cR2 in the immediate future with confidence. I look forward to seeing you there!
